Menstrual Matters, founded by Alizée Bollen from Crampy, and Josephine Timmers and Meredith Overman from The Ovaries. Menstrual Matters is an event series unpacking the often unspoken aspects of menstrual, reproductive, and sexual health. Our goal is simple: to bring together lived experience, medical insight, and holistic wisdom in one space. To create a space where we don’t just talk about menstruators, we talk with each other, and where community becomes a tool for learning, unlearning, and action.
Menstrual Matters Vol. 1 focused on endometriosis and adenomyosis, highlighting both personal experiences, medical and holistic perspectives on these chronic conditions. For Menstrual Matters Vol. 1.2, we facilitated a gossip session during the Bloody Beautiful Festival by Affect Lab. The session centered on the lived experiences and realities of people living with endometriosis and adenomyosis.
We will continue the Menstrual Matters series with sessions focused on topics such as PCOS, PMDD, and peri/post-menopause.
